I have an important announcement to make

To the love of my life, my baby and my Sunshine, Happy 8th month! :p ;P ;P
I know that since I'd started school, i've had less time for you and us. Hang in there babe, give me some time to get use to university life, and i'll figure a way round my stupid timetable for you... ;)

I love you with all my heart..

Forever n ever... <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

~

So its the 7th month now, the month where ghosts supposedly roam the country. 7th month is something that i'll never understand...

I always ask myself these questions:
1) Do ghost roam america, chile, spain etc etc during their 7th month too?

2) How does burning physical materials enable the ghost to receive them?

3) Why is it so damn smokey during the 7th month? Oh i forgot.... we're burning stuff...

4) Could all these years of burning paper money, paper dolls, paper clothes and paper houses led to the increase in the rise in temperature in our country?

5) Is it profitable to sell joss sticks and paper money?

Sure... its our tradition. But have we crossed the line here?
Doesn't anyone find it silly at all? Or has it become so ingrained in us that we become afraid to ask questions, at the expense of our environment.

Hmmm, burning money for ghosts?
I think the only spirits we chinese are making happy are the producers of joss sticks and paper money...

Went to see the fireworks with my girlfriend and her family yesterday. For a while, we thought thought we would not be able to catch the fireworks due to the crowd... but once it started, we realised that it was much nearer to us than we thought.
Plus, we found a nice open spot(not much people there surprisingly) with a clear view of the sky.

The fireworks were breathtaking... but nothing beats watching fireworks on the 4th of July at the American Club(Admiralty Road)

Oh well, back to school tomorrow.
Damn tutorials...! Urgh..

No Longer a Baby...

Alright, first of all, i want to apologise to you all who have been consistently checking my blog for updates. I'm sorry that there weren't any, so sorry for the extended hiatus.

Fret Not... School has started...
Soon I'll start to blog regularly again.

~

And so the first day of school came.

Oh... before that... I just wanna say that going to school's a bitch.
You should see the long queues at Boon Lay bus interchange in the morning...
I guess its a normal thing at bus interchanges la, so i shouldn't make a big deal out of it.
Anyway, the SBS people know that we have to freaking get to school quick, so the buses come very often, usually two at a time, they even deploy "bus uncles and aunties" to make sure that the buses come on time.

Like that.. raise fares... ok la ;)

So yeah, back to school for rusty old me...
My first lecture was an introduction to Biology, but somehow, the astronomy-trained biology Professor went off-tangent and started giving us a lecture about jupiter's moons...

Good Heavens!(no pun intended) What a waste of time. Somemore, this rotound Professor of mine hails from Hong Kong... It was hard trying to decipher his hong kong english accent 1/4 of the time...
At least he was funny...

Good thing i had my mate Daniel with me for today's lecture. I would be sitting alone otherwise. I know nobody in the lecture, save for an old JC friend and my sister's friend, but they already have their friends so i didn't wanna 'chap' in.

i recognise social cues one... so i get the message...

Collected my Matriculation Card too... haha somehow i feel really proud to be in a University(yeah along with like 10,000 others), but fuck it la, it feels good.

"We aim to provide students with a high quality university education and training in the life sciences. Graduates from its undergraduate B.Sc.(Honours) course as well as from its graduate research programmes are expected to fill the rapidly increasing demand for a talent pool of high-quality workforce and researchers for the life sciences industry..."

Blah blah... graduate liao then say...

I gotto get myself a laptop soon..
Tomorrow soon....
