things to do:

-go for driving lessons. I've been putting it off long enough.
-look for work. seriously. i need a job, i've had enough of bumming around everyday
-prepare for school when it starts in august. there's tonnes of materials to be read and revised.... *flip flip*

i have to apologise for the lack of posts lately. i simple do not have the time or energy to come up with regular updates. its not as if there were exciting things in my life to write about everyday in the first place.

furthermore, blogger.com is getting more screwed up. its frustrating when you finish a long entry and the system goes bonkers when you click "Publish".
clicking back on my browser only to realise that the entry i'd typed out had evaporated into the thin air. grrrrrrreat!

Before you read or do anything else, quickly click on the 'pause' button found in the 2 video players below.

Chopin-Ballade in G-moll Op.23 No.1

isn't this piece simply beautiful?
so far i've only managed to play 5 pages of the score before i became a little lazy to continue and when it became much more difficult technically.
this young boy here, he has earned my respect and admiration.
do listen to the whole score, it might sound boringish at first, but it gets really good in the end...

Rachmaninoff- Etude Tableux in A Minor

absolutely fantastic. it left me breathless.
hope it had that effect on you too... haha

anyway, i think i''m becoming a youtube.com addict. there's just too many good things to watch.
try it.....

no....
this blog isn't dead yet. haha

i've been away for a month in thailand. for something we army boys(yes boys, not men) call ATEC.
ATEC, or Army Training Evaluation Center, is a sort of exam for every operational unit in the Singapore army. it tests the units' commanders and men for their military knowhow and skills.

ATEC evaluates our performance and gives us a REDCON(readiness condition) rating. REDCON 1 being the best, followed by 2A,2B, and 3 being a lousy pass, and 4 meaning utter failure.

my unit achieved redcon 2A high.
but seriously it means nothing to me.

now that i'm back home, the only thing that matters is my ORD date, and preparations for work and studies.

army is finally taking a back seat in my life. for the past 2 years it has been constantly taking away time that can be used more productively.

i can finally put my hands up in the air and shout, ORD LOH!!!
